Welcome to Fang Liu's Homepage!

have moved to Emory University Department of Chemistry as an assistant professor.

The new website for my research group at Emory University is here.

From October 2017 to July 2020, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Kulik group in the Chemical Engineering Department, MIT.  I received my B.S. in Chemical Physics from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2011. I earned my Ph.D. in Chemistry from Stanford University in 2017 under the guidance of Prof. Todd Martinez. My dissertation was focused on quantum chemistry of solvated molecules and electronic excited states on Graphical Processing Units (GPUs). In the Kulik group, my research focuses on (1) understanding and controlling density errors in DFT for applications on transition metal systems; (2) bulding workflows and machine learning models to automate the quantum chemistry method selection for transition metal complexes.
